However, this giveaway, we are going to change things up a bit, and use a different “entry” method.  SERIOUSLY…THE PLANT-BASED FITNESS EXPERT is giving YOU another CHANCE to win her NEW BOOK!!

Below is a list of extra items you can complete that will give you bonus entries in the giveaway.  The more items you complete, the more bonus entries in your name, the better chance you have at winning!  While answering your questions, be sure to list each item you complete within the same comment as your answer. Example:
1st question: Surprisingly, my favorite healthy food is mushrooms.  Before embarking on my plant-based journey, I despised mushrooms (and that is putting it nicely).  I eat mushrooms every day now, as I read somewhere that mushrooms are great for helping prevent breast cancer.  DUH…I am tearing up those mushrooms now, lol!

2nd question: I cannot wait to get my paws on Fit Quickies.  I could benefit greatly from the entire book, but if I had to choose one that I could improve the most on, it would have to be the fitness.  I am a runner, and used to run 5 days a week, until I ran into “knee” issues.  I have only been running a little under a year, so I could benefit tremendously from Lani’s Fit Quickies.  I do not go to the gym, or do any other type of exercise.  All I do is run, so I am excited to start working muscles I forgot I had.

Entries:  I completed items 1, 2, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15.  I already do items 3, 5, 6, and 8.

    And holy cow, 5 minutes? If it works as it says it does, I would definitely benefit from it. I don't always stick with workout plans, usually it's a time commitment thing. Cruddy excuse, but. It happens. (And,I need to get motivated to change that, book or not! :P )

    Oh, I've done 1,2,3,6, (maybe 5? I'll have to go sign up later, or check to see if I have. I'm not awake yet!

    So far it’s mushrooms, huh? I was going to say it all along, so am not changing now. I liked them a lot before going PB, but now use the portabello minis and sometimes the regular ones, and really love the taste and love working with them.

    Anything to help me get my rear in gear here would be so very appreciated!! It’s easy for me to be PB now, but still so hard to exercise and boy do I need it at my age, even if I’m “skinny.”

    So… I’ve done 1, 2, 3, 4 I think–wasn’t sure about what I should see afterwards, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
    I’d already done 6 or wouldn’t have known about this!

    (P.S. if I get this, it was worth the work!)

    I’m a mushroom lover, too…but, KALE has got to be my fave! The store was out of it the last two times I went, and boy was I bummed. I really think it’s catching on! People have asked me what I do with it while I’m bagging and I give them a few ideas. NEVER AGAIN! haha
    I’ve been going to the gym, taking dance lessons,and Zumba to get in shape…but, I feel like I need to be mixing up and adding to what I am doing which is where fit quickies would really come in handy…it looks like an amazing book!
    I did almost all of the above except 2, 9, 13 & 14. One number needs to be confirmed, then I will finisher up ;) Fingers crossed!!!

        Yes Lani…I don’t know what it is about it..maybe the texture? I love it in salads… soups (like you:)…or steamed with minced garlic,fresh squeezed lemon juice, himalayan pink salt & pepper.. YUMMO! I will try to enter #15 Laura, but it may be above and beyond my computer abilities ;) Will let you know…thanks ladies!!!

        how do you like to prep kale for salads? Would love to hear about that – you mean just chopped in raw?

    1. Oatmeal is my favorite food. Never really cared for it before, now I eat it every day.

    2. I have a rather busy schedule and sometimes it feels like a challenge to get a work out in. Fit Quickies would really come in handy.

    My new favorite food is radishes. All kinds. I just love cutting them up on a salad, eating them raw…so good.
    I am fairly active already, but I get on kicks and then just blob out for a bit. So I am looking for a quick, fit, pick me up. Sounds like Fit Quickies is for me!
    I already do #2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,11,12. I plan to do #10 today!

    Hi there! I enjoy so many healthy foods, it’s hard to pick one as a favorite! Right now i’m thinking about a nice hearty bowl of steel cut oats. Yum!

    I am hoping to get Lani’s book for my mom. Then of course I’ll borrow the book to read for myself, and possibly learn how to build some muscle so I’m less of a wimp ;)

      Cassie, you are sooooo correct. There are so many delicious healthy foods out there. Oatmeal was one that I previously did not like, until my taste buds change. Now, I love oatmeal with mixed berries.

      You are so sweet to think of your momma. Mom’s are the bomb! (did that rhyme? lol) You are a loving, and thoughtful daughter. Your mom MUST be proud.

    1. My favorite healthy food is kale. I never tried it before I started eating a plant based diet and now eat it several days a week! I have even gotten my kids to eat kale chips! They are now my daughter’s favorite snack!
    2. I really need motivation to exercise and I am hopeful that Fit Quickies is just what I need to get me back to exercising and eating healthier!

    1st Question: I want to say kale, because I also never had eaten it before embarking on a plant based diet. I like it so much now I even grew it in a community garden last summer! So I would have to say, soy beans and edamame, and soy bean products, especially tofu. Tofu is so versatile! I can make tofu scrambles and don’t miss eggs. I use it to make vegan mayo. I can make desserts with it, main dishes with it, and I use soy milk on my cereal and as a replacement for cream in my coffee. My boyfriend, who started this with me, had never looked a square of tofu in the eye before eating plant strong, and now he loves it! So thankful for soy!

    2nd Question: The only thing lacking from my new lifestyle is exercise. I am in a lot of pain every day, yet I know if I started to exercise much of it would be alleviated. I would love the motivation I would find between the pages and everything else it had to offer.Exercise is the lost piece for my new lifestyle.

    I have completed entries 1,3,4,5,6,8,11,12,13, and 15.

      I love Kale as well!! And tofu is warming up to me, lol. It sounds like Fit Quickies would definitely help you regarding finding the motivation, through your mindset, and excercising with quick, easy exercises.

    I have become a huge fan of kale, which shocks me, because I was NEVER interested in leafy greens. Growing up, one taste of canned spinach ruined it for me. lol Now, I buy both bagged, chopped kale to add to soups and dishes; as well as loose, large leafed kale to make kale chips. They are sooooooo goooooddd!!! Make me feel good too! :) And I would love to have a copy of the book, because I need all of the guidance, motivation & inspiration I can get. I have learned so much from so many wonderful people over the last year, and I get truly excited everytime I ‘discover’ something new that I can share with my friends & family. None of my books ever sit collecting dust. I circulate them everywhere in hopes of helping do my part to change lives.

    1. My current favorite healthy food is kale. I knew it was really great for me, but I was leery of trying it. When I saw a fresh frilly bunch at the store, I decided it was time to try it. Guess what: It is delicious! It is good with balsamic vinegar. Ann Esselstyn says to “massage” the dressing into the kale with your hands, and this is a fun and tasty way to prepare it. I also love to throw torn pieces into soups and other hot dishes to add nutrition transparently.
    2. I have already preordered a copy of Fit Quickies, and I would love to have a copy for my friend Pat so we can go on this journey together. We could both benefit greatly from Lana’s coaching.

      Carol, Kale is one of the foods that had to grow on me. Now…I absolutely LOVE KALE! Ann is spot on with the “massaging” of the Kale. Sounds weird, but definitely works, and tastes better.
